You may not like the idea of using nickel in interior design, but one thing is definite; nickel brings an unusual and sophisticated light into darker homes. It blends perfectly well with classic furniture, and gives a modern clean edge to an older home. The image below depicts a chandelier we stumbled upon in a popular furniture store in Greenwich. Doesn't it look slick and clean? Here's our version of the same type of chandelier that we created by using one of our vintage French nickel mirror shades. Another of our favorite combinations is this incredible Knolls bird chair against a copper wall. Imagine being in a room like this and experiencing the energy and power it projects. The sheepskin seat cushion provides the ultimate juxtaposition of hard to soft. Below is Le Barn's version of the same room featuring one of our original Knolls chairs.
