Mirror, Mirror on the Wall

The mirror. The most ancient apparatus for physical and spiritual reflection. Renowned throughout time for its mythical and enchanting powers. We rely on the functional mirror for safety in blind spots in order to avoid potential disasters, or to be sure our faces are clean and that we have a tidy appearance prior to leaving our homes.[/caption] Green mirror resz_dsc_0288 [caption id="attachment_1588" align="alignnone" width="273"]green mirror side resz_dsc_0291 Of course, mirrors have a very distinct function for the interior designer as well! For example, our team at Le Barn loves the illusion a well-placed mirror brings to any room by giving it the appearance of being much larger than it actually is. Because mirrors reflect light and color, they lend more interest to an ordinary space. We love placing mirrors opposite windows to give the impression of a second window in the room. Many times beautiful mirrors are hung on walls in place of artwork when they’re housed in elegant frames.[/caption] Mirror barn 2dsc_0076d1 Mirro part resz_dsc_0293 [caption id="attachment_1581" align="alignnone" width="273"]Oversized mirror 66077 The stand-alone mirror offers alternative decor by filling a corner or an awkwardly empty space. Consider the unconventional by placing a freestanding floor mirror in an outdoor space. Unexpected, unusual, and sure to spark conversation.[/caption] Le Barn has a number of unique antique freestanding and framed mirrors for you to consider on your next visit.
