French Duck Confit Pots

French duck confit pots….Nowadays we look at the pots and we admire different textures – glazed, unglazed, partially glazed, mustard yellows, bright yellows, or even rare shades of green. We use these pots for flowers, adding an element of style to kitchens, to give this “instant Provençale” look. Originally, these French antique pots were designed to store and preserve duck confit.  The lower portion of the pots was usually left unglazed, as confit pots were filled and buried in the dirt facilitating the preservation of its’ contents, keeping it cool, in the dark root cellars.
